What are essential oils and what can you do with them?

This is a question which, of course, everybody feels inclined to ask who gets in touch with essential oils for the very first time.

What to do is basically very simple: open the bottle, inhale deeply, close your eyes and enjoy. This is the initial use and the effect can be felt immediately, in the limbic system of our brain. This is the place where emotions are stored and processed. And this is why we remember our mums’ lemon cake whenever we smell lemons. She added ground lemon peels to the dough and that smelled fantastic.

Lemon

Lemon's many applications make it one of the most useful essential oils to have on hand. The fresh, zesty aroma uplifts and energises both body and mind, while the powerful antioxidant d-limonene supports a healthy immune system. The essential oil of lemons is found in the peel. There is only one cold pressing to create true Young Living essential (virgin) oils and that makes Young Living Lemon essential oil so unique. The effect of citrus oil puts you in a good mood and it has great potential as a cleaning agent, fully in tune with nature, of course. This is why it is used in Young Living cleaning liquids and in the extremely popular NingXia Red drink.

By and by, we will introduce more and more oils, complete with usage tips, examples and scientific background information. The huge knowledge of our team will thus provide vital information for everybody.
